Your nervous system is not just a network of cells; it is your body’s built-in intelligence. It’s constantly scanning through your senses for danger or safety. It doesn’t pause. It doesn’t wait. It responds.
In ancient times, this system was our survival mechanism. See a lion? You don’t ponder it. You run! Trapped in a burning building? You don’t analyze. You act. This system bathes your body in adrenaline and cortisol, giving you strength to lift, run, scream, fight, or freeze.
These chemicals are divinely designed. They’re powerful. They’re protective. They’re purposeful.
But here’s the problem.
